Archive: On the Subject Of Heart (2020)

It's a strange pursuit to depress the

Inclination 

To experience emotion in its utmost form,

And a betrayal of nature principles for

Expedient reason.

An abandonment of raw human emotion

Is also a fear of unassuming sentiment.

So, I think it's important not to

Block the heart,

But to assume appreciation for all emotions.

For the most part,

Humanity is centred around the heart.

What people say or do

Could reveal how they are feeling,

So, it's crucial also to guard your heart,

And be mindful of others.

Do you find God to be heartless?

Or sublime in his grandeur?

Each human story is so small,

And the grandeur of God goes unmatched.

So, we need to enlarge our hearts.

It is important to focus your thoughts on

What is good and true,

There is so much to admire, and I 

Believe there is poetry everywhere.
